Over the past few weeks, I've made good progress at understanding how to put together a Pinax-based website. The primary purpose for the site is to have a way for interested folks to coordinate on doing some kind of collective "feat of strength" for Jack LaLanne's 95th birthday on 26 Sep 2009.
We just passed the 6 month mark in the countdown to Jack's b-day, a key time point in my mind, to allow enough time to spread the word and do some planning.

The site has been up and running for about 2 weeks now, but I have yet to announce it broadly. I haven't messed with the technical aspects much at all. Most of the work has been in creating and organizing the content.
